22. The following submarine slope is adjacent to a new port facility:
You have been asked to come up with a stable design for the site. It has been determined that a factor of safety of 1.5 would be acceptable in this case.
(a) (6 pts) Enter the geometry, material properties, etc. for the slope into UTEXASED assuming a slope angle (beta) corresponding to a 2.25:1 slope.
(b) (3 pts) Then alter the x coordinate of the top of the slope to vary the slope angle. Find the slope angle (to the nearest whole degree) that results in a factor of safety closest to 1.50.
Do your calculations for the coordinate geometry in a spreadsheet. Save a copy of your spreadsheet and your UTEXASED input file.
